What is the difference between FTP and SFTP?  Artikel drucken

Both FTP and SFTP are file transfer protocol. SFTP or Secure File Transfer Protocol is similar to FTP or File Transfer Protocol but is an encrypted version of FTP. SFTP is much more secure compared to FTP. SFTP is the recommended where ever is possible. Other than being secure, the functions of both FTP and SFTP are one and the same.
