How to backup Home directory? Print this Article
To do a home directory backup, follow the below steps.
1. Login to your cPanel.
2. Click on Backups icon.
3. Select Download a home directory backup.
4. Click save as and choose the destination in your local system.
5. Click Save to start downloading backup.
The backup will be saved in .tar.gz file, you can open the file using softwares like winrar or winzip.
Note: Do not restore the backup unless it is very necessary, when you restore this backup you will lose all recent changes of your home directory from the time you download this backup.
