WordPress Upgrade
DATABASE BACKUP
Prior to upgrading to the latest version of WordPress, you will want to backup your database. To do so visit the database backup tutorial.
DOWNLOAD
Download the latest version of WordPress from the Wordpress Web site. Extract the file locally to your computer.
CONFIGURATION
No configuration neccessary.
UPLOAD
Upload all files and folders to the main folder on the server (httpdocs) via FTP, overwriting the version on the server.
UPGRADE
Run the upgrade by visiting http://www.example.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php
If you are upgrading from the previous version, you may see "No Upgrade Required
Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!
Click Continue to be taken to your weblog's main page.
Otherwise, following the directions given to upgrade.
