SQL1 server timeout

Is any one else having issues with the SQL1 server?

I'm on Nuetron (windows) and am constantly getting time out error messages from the SQL server through ASP pages.

Was it during one of the backups? When doing the full backups the SQL servers can be slow. Do you know any particular times when it's happening?

Its been happening on and off for the past couple of days... I did log a ticket and got a reply:

Hello,

There are some issues with a database hosted in the DB server. We are working on it at the moment. We are about to move the database to another one and hope to complete very soon. Once completed the server will be back to normal.

Thank you for kind understanding in this matter, we will keep you posted on this.

Sounds good - not the problem, but the fact it's being looked at. Hopefully it's fixed already!?

Just keep a log of exact times when you notice it. The more info you can give the admins, the better...

Should be alot better now. We had a 40GB database causing most of the issues. We moved it to SQL2.

Thanks, still having problems, but may be due to NEUTRON misbehaving.

Yep - it often happens as the first hit to the website.

ERROR:

Unable to establish connection to database.
Error information:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server (0x80004005)
Timeout expired
Other possible cause of this problem:
The database cannot be opened, most likely due to incorrect connection settings or insufficient security set on your database folder or file.
