Laurence, today I don't have but one option, control panel, and I cant adjust spam settings anymore. I been working for the past few days on setting limits and training the spam database on a few of my domains, and today its all gone; yes i raised a ticket on this. The error I get is I dont have permissions...

Same here. I started getting good emails marked as SPAM and filtered to my SPAM filter, so I logged in to Plesk to retrain the SPAM filter and I cannot find any where to do so.
I turned in a ticket to tech support and was told, "Spam filter in plesk is causing the server to get out of RAM sometimes.
Spamassassin works for your mailboxes, but you can not configure it as we disabled for now to don't cause again server problems."
Does this mean we can no longer train our spam filter?

Support reported to me that until Plesk can fix the RAM overload they will have to have it down as far as us using the features. Its still sorting out spam just not configurable by us on our end. Lucky for me I got my domains mostly set up but to new people this could be a problem. It has really seemed to be working good lately as well..oh well, we will see what Plesk does about it.

My spam filtering WAS working well, but now it's not, and I'm getting a lot of good emails marked as SPAM and filtered into my spam folder. These are the types of emails that have never been marked as SPAM previously. Something changed, and not for the better.

Spam Mess
WHat is bothering me about it was, I was not aware that support was going to turn off the admin-domain-user config part of it. If I had of known Id made some last minute fine tunings to the training part and been ok with it being turned off. But ever since Deimos moved to Libra last week, the spam filtering seemed to be working more and more better (bad grammar), and I was working on about 6 of my most used domains trying to train them and they were responding a lot better. Bottom line is, I just wish they had told us of the problem and let us have a few days to prepare for it.

We will resolve it. This was really a test to see if a particular thing in Spam Filtering was causing Libra to crash. As far as I was aware we just turned off access to the Spam Filter but the filter itself should have worked. I'll talk to Pavel about this later today.

Laurence,
The filtering config access was turned off and yes the actual filtering was still on and working but; my point was, when we switched to Libra, and maybe I was not really paying attention much before, but it seemed to me the spam filter was actually working better at catching spam. So I immediately went to a few of my domains and started to go back in and train incoming emails with new threshold numbers in the filtering config access. While training I checked the box to NOT delete spam which I had checked previously. Now the spam was coming back to my in-boxes and in large numbers so I could see what the training was accomplishing. It was working and my plans were as soon as I felt I had the threshold number number set right I was going to recheck the delete spam box where it didn't all come to the in-boxes. But when the config access was disabled, I did not have that option anymore.
That's what I was saying and still I am not complaining; Its just the war on spam is bad enough as it is and we can use all the tools available.
Perhaps in the future we can go back and config them as we use to, but if its hurting the servers performance, then deleting a few more emails a day is really not enough to complain about I guess.
And at 60 years old I got plenty of other stuff to complain about not working!!!

Laurence,
Any word on when this issue will be resolved? I need to add a few domains to my whitelist but can't. Even the activation e-mail for registering for this forum got flagged as SPAM! This is growing from mildly irritating to frustrating!
On the bright side, you folks provide great service at a great price, so I'm still a satisfied customer.
Thanks,
Larry

I just submitted a a ticket regarding this minor problem; here is the text of that ticket and I'll let ya know what is done on it.
Quote:
I know you all had to turn off the config for us in the spam filtering because of the drain on the RAM on the server. I understand that. But the spam filtering is still working but we can not make any adjustments to it, right?
Ok here is my question:::::
When you all turned it off, I was in the middle of resetting some of my clients threshold numbers and testing the filtering for them. The detected spam was being marked and deleted before it came to their in-boxes. I changed that setting on a few mail boxes, so we could watch what was being classified as spam as it came into the in-boxes. At that point, you all disengaged the config use for us. Now I can not change that setting back and the in-boxes are being hit with a lot of spam. I want to set the settings back to deleting the spam before it reaches the in-boxes. My question is, if I give you the mail box's location, can you all set the spam filtering so it deletes the spam and not send it to the in-box??? I think its on a on about six mailboxes I need this to be done.....can it be done?

If they can make minor adjustments on it for us then that may be what we have to. I guess we will see. At any rate, Larry, you are right, the service here is second to none when it comes to looking in to any thing they are asked to....
