Maybe you're missing that big button for "Spam Assassin" on a domain's main page or the "Spam Filter" button in each mailbox. You can ignore Plesk's messages about that as we don't use Plesk's SA on Windows servers.

NexDog or Mike,

Is SpamAssassin up-and-running on Lambda and is it completely stable and safe-to-use now? Is the scoring-based filtering enabled? Is training-based filtering disabled? Could you point me in the direction of a FAQ or tutorial that applies to the currently-installed anti-spam system in place on Lamda?

We are now using Plesk's SA on all Linux servers (except 3 that are yet to be done). Score-based scanning is working as is the bayesian filter. The tring (bayesian) filter works exactly like the last one. Basically nothing changes in the workability except more of it works, Plesk will report what's trained now and the scoring works....and it's not as resource heavy as Dspam.

Question Spam filtering options

After reading the tread on Spam Filtering, and trying to enable this for my accounts I have a few concerns.

1) I can not enable Spam filtering by simply checking the box "Spam Filter" for each user.

2) I can enter a users profile and see the icon for Spam Filtering, and when I enter here there is no area to "train" using spam and ham....

3) If I am supposed to manage each mail box independently, this is a huge amount of time to be used..

Suggestions, alternate options..?

Thanks for your time.

Brian

I personally haven't found any alternatives yet. I posted a question on the forum related to this a few weeks ago and never got a response back.

Yes it does. All of our Linux servers have spam filtering.

To activate it, first go to the domain within Plesk, then go to mailboxes. Click on the mailbox you wish to work with. You will see an icon towards the left the say SPAM FILTERING. Click that to configure the filter.
