WordPress 2.8.4

Seems a security issue was discovered and 2.8.4 was released to address this issue.

WordPress Multiple User is still at 2.8.3, but hopefully will be updated shortly.

I was pretty surprised to see another update so soon after the last! Thanks for posting the 'why'.

It says I should backup my database/files....is it necessary? I can't do it right now anyhow cause I cannot access Plesk.

You could do an export. From the left side navigation, Tools > Export. This will export your posts as an XML file. Select all authors and click Download Export File.

Backup are those things we all should do (but hardly if ever do) until something happens and we reach for the backup and get that "oh crap" moment when we realize there is no backup.

And I just checked WordPress MU and it's at 2.8.4a
