Repository Updates 08-2008

Edit: The Script Repository Page has a new look

Edit: Implementing the next stage in my hurry to get things moving towards the new site (I'm so impatient). Added in a tutorials column for the script repository, which when the new site is up will lead to a host of tutorials for many scripts (built up over time)... more improvements coming as the new site gets going

The following updates have taken place on the Script Repository Page:

Version Updates
============

ImpressCMS - 1.0.2 RC1
MyBB - 1.4
Coppermine Photo Gallery - 1.4.19
Gallery - 1.5.8

New Additions
==========

Phorm Jr. - 2.0

Edit: Post scripts you would like to see added to the Script Repository. Install tutorials for scripts not already created coming soon!

Nice work!

I know all the shared servers have PHP5 on them, but if anyone has a dedicated server with PHP4, or (dare I say it) uses another host with PHP4 then PHP dies as from today. So time to make those changes (which are minimal) and get to PHP 5.

Update: 08-14-2008

The follow scripts have been updated:

Joomla 1.5.6
Zikula 1.0.2
Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.19
Gallery 1.5.8
Drupal 6.4/5.10
Moveable Pro (for Bloggers) 4.2

Additional changes:

Corrected Nucleus CMS version to 3.32
Moveable Type Pro (for Bloggers) was formerly Moveable Type Personal - download link updated

You might have noticed that a column is listed on the Script Repository page for tutorials. These are being assembled as part of the new site, but might be launched prior to the new site (if they are ready). Stay tuned.

THanks for your hard work there ..

I see that the coppermine has now 1.4.19. Look, I know I'm a bit of a moron with this stuff, but can I ask .. should I install it myself or use the installer in my plesk? What do you recommend?

I'd always recommend installing it yourself, as the one in plesk is not the latest version. I'm working on new script install tutorials and this is on my to-do-list
