assign DNS for 2 servers?

In the event of a server crash, can I create two accounts on different servers and assign DNS such as:

ns1.server.com
ns2.server.com
ns3.server.com
ns4.server.com (example only)

n1 and 2 on Eta, 3 and 4 on Iota. Iota crashes but still can see site on Eta.

Will this work?

I'm really, really antsy about what's happening with Iota lately, and I need some back up. I'll pay, if it's possible - doable - whatever.

What server would the records be on?

I don't know too much about DNS but if the DNS went down (say Eta was the DNS) browsers querying the DNS wouldn't be aware that Iota is still up and ready to accept a connection as the NS3 and NS4 records are actually stored on Eta.

Does this make sense? Is it correct?
