Question Plesk's Alerts

Does anyone know if Plesk sends Alert e-mails to the reseller (client) if a resold domain (end user) goes over it's traffic limit or disk space limit?

I think it 's the reseller that gets the email and then you contact your customer. You decide what to do about the overage was how I understood it when I asked about it. Upgrade/pay the extra bandwidth or storage or shut down the site for the remainder of the month.

Thing is, all my account's traffic are set to (0) so I could get e-mail alerts from Plesk (I was suggested) and monitor the traffic manually without having to log in Plesk every now and then.

Plus, it allows me to add unlimited amount of domains without worrying about traffic allocation. All my account are set to (0) traffic and on Alert, but I haven't received any e-mails yet from Plesk and it's been over 48 hours since I changed them to (0).

Does this actually work? Is there something I missed. I sent myself a report from a domain just to see if plesk is e-mailling to the right address and it does.

Suggestions and help is appreciated.

I have received alerts for going over the storage limits
I set for one of my hosted domains. It was sent to my
default email address. The domain is also flagged for
a problem on the plesk admin control panel.

Thank you for the info. I'm still not receiving any e-mail alerts for traffic overage.

Thumbs up Check in your Plesk Email

Log into your Plesk admin control, click on the edit button,
and check your default email address setting. This is the
email address that you will receive the alert notifications.

Ok. Try this. Log into your Plesk admin.
Set a domain storage limit to a low level.
Upload a file(s) that will exceed your storage limit.
This should generate a Plesk alert email.

Do the same for traffic limit. Download the file
and attempt to exceed the traffic limit.
This should generate a Plesk alert email.

Click on report for the domain and verify that
you have went over the limits you have set
so you are positive that they are over. You
should receive email alerts.

If you don't then you will need to sumbit a support
request for assistance.

Problem Resolved!

I was able to resolve the problem myself.

Instead of setting the traffic limit to "0" to receive e-mail alerts, I tried setting it to "1".

It works! I am now receiveing e-mail alerts.

This is very useful if you want to monitor traffic without having to login Plesk and check domain reports one by one. Saves a lot of time. You get a daily report via e-mail from Plesk with the list of domains with disk space and traffic usage.

Tada!!

Hey,

Glad it's works for you. It is handy for Resellers running that system.

Also, it looks like that script that will enable resellers to check their total usage will be ready very soon. I caught a quick glimpse of it and it's sweeet. All domains listed there with a graphical bar chart showing allowance and usage for each domain and the total for all aswell. It's very nice.
