ONE potential Windows hosting customer, how to do?

Hi,

I have a new potential web hosting customer with existing ASP pages. Windows hosting, obviously.

At present all of my hosting customers are Linux based. In order to take these guys on, should I just get one of the basic Windows "alpha" hosting accounts and set them up on that?

I haven't done Windows-based hosting before, but I would think it's pretty much the same as the linux-based, right? Just ftp files up there and you're good to go?

Thanks, John

Oh, I should add that it IS at least possible I might be adding at least one or two more Windows-based hosting customers in the future. There aren't any concrete plans at this point, but it's at least possible.

Hey John

All my customers were linux and then I picked up a basic Windows account as well.

I've got my Windoze full and if I pick up another one I'll have to increase the package size.

The first one pays for the account.

Onward and upward..

Are you saying that you got a Windows hosting reseller account? Or did you get something less?

I'm thinking of just getting a very basic windowsAlpha. Then if need be I could upgrade to something that would host multiple domains. Can you upgrade easily without any interruption in service or issues for the customer?

I'm sure the upgrade for Windows is as easy as the upgrades under linux
