browser access to email after domain transfer

I occasionally have a client that moves their hosting away from me and then asks to have access to their email one last time. My reply has been "can't do it" in that I haven't found a way. Does anyone know of a way a client can check email when the domain does not point to a HN server? And a second question: will removing the account from Plesk/Parallels remove all the email for the clientor does it still take up server space?

Yep, create a new pop account in Outlook Express and use the server IP for server. If the mailbox still exists you can still connect via the IP and pop mail.
