Custom Name Servers

Does anyone else get errors when trying to add a custom name server for a new domain? I don't think the issue is with the registrar but with the actual names of the name servers. Is there something special I have to do to be able to use my special/custom name servers?

Thanks!

The other thread got tossed

There should not be anythign special. You are trying to add the name server name and not the ip address?

Correct, I am simply using 'ns.domain.net' and 'ns2.domain.net'...and it states that an error occurred. Any thoughts?

Those nameservers have been correctly registered with the domain registrar? If you put the names here, we can check for you.

I am looking for that option in my registrar's control panel but don't particularly see any options asking to create name servers, or register DNS. This isn't like registering a regular domain name, is it?

They are as follows;

ns.alliancetechnologygroup.net
ns2.alliancetechnologygroup.net

Thank you!

Uh, disregard this. I found the registration in a very inconspicuous portion of the control panel. Thaks for the help, Robbie!

No problems. We have a forum thread about how to register nameservers, because it often is confusing!
