Horde Login Script

Hi There:

As a reseller, I would really like to allow my clients to login to their webmail from my site. I have searched this forum high and low and although I have found a few people ask the same question over the years, I haven't been able to find an answer...

Does anyone know how I can allow my clients to login from my site?

Thanks,

Kelly

I think it can be as simple as duplicating the login form on one of your own pages. I think that works fine.. if memory serves me..

I have a script that will allow email access from your site to Squirrelmail (along with squirrelmail customizer here, allows for an almost seamless appearance), but nothing for Horde. Might have to see if I can set something up to do that

Edit: Copying the login page might work...

Thanks for the response. I've been playing around with this tonight and I think I have it, except for one small piece. My clients are all on a different IP than I am so in order to get this to work for my clients, I've had to specify one of my client's domains in the code below, which I'd like to avoid. Any thoughts on what I can put in place of domainname.com?

action="http://webmail.domainname.com/horde/imp/redirect.php"

This works perfectly, but I'd prefer that all of my clients not see a client domain that is not their own (and it shows up in the address bar).

Thanks for the help.

Kelly

A suggestion that might work is to have the user enter the full email address in the username, send them to a script (instead of directly to Horde) that strips the username and domain. This would send them to their own domain, allow for better browser remembering (their username/password, if they choose for it to be remembered), as well as keep them from seeing the other users you provide services for.

I do have them entering their full email address as it stands now. Any suggestion on what the script might be to do as you suggested Mike?

Thanks,

Kelly

I've tried several different things, but have not been able to come up with anything so far to assist you. If I (or someone else) finds something that works I'm sure it will be posted here.

Hello,

Instead of action="http://webmail.domainname.com/horde/imp/redirect.php" you can try to use action="http://boson.dns-fusion.com:8425" as this is the default port for the entire server and the clients should enter account@domain.com as the user name and the password for the account.

This should work for you.

Thank you.

Also if you do not want to use the full name of the server you can replace it with the IP address.

Thank you.

Or use javascript. Have a hidden field (i.e. domain, as it is) and on entering a username, call javascript tha strips the domain and populated the hidden field.

Then on submitting, all should be fine.
