Nothing (by way of restrictions) happens automatically in Plesk to a live site. In otherwords, if you or one of your customers overstep their limits, the only way your or they know is the warning e-mail.
If HostNexus receive one about your account, they send you a polite e-mail suggesting you upgrade (or if it's a one-off they have been known to accept it). But they won't do anything unless it continues and you don't reply. They don't receive e-mails about your individual clients, only your total.
If you receive such e-mail about your clients, it's up to you how you respond. You can leave it alone, and allow the client to overstep his limits, or you can send an e-mail suggesting they upgrade (or you up the limits)... it's up to you how long a grace period you give etc. Nothing will happen (except continued e-mails) if you do nothing.
I hope that explains it.
