Server Speed and load times question

In the past, in choosing a host, I have had the practice of visiting a host's website and non-scientifically evaluating the load time for the graphics to load. I have 15 clients I would love to move to your service, but it appears from looking around that not all your servers are created equal. You main page for hostnexus seems to load slowly--But this could be due to the complex flash animations. I've looked at every site I could find that is hosted on the Iota and Lamda servers (It was mentioned on a forum that they are some of the fastest servers you operate) and I was very impressed--Although I didn't get to preview any flash or php script load times. I suppose in the end, if I were to sign up for the service today:

1) what server would I be placed on for a VirtNex-1 account, and

2) do you have links to websites hosted on this server that would offer a better preview of load times?

3) What is the average server load for this server?

I've hosted with quite a few companies over the years; I must say you have one the most reputable services that meet my particular set of needs.

Feel free to also take a look at a site on Epsilon I work on and host:

Prince Farrington Race

Uses some PHP, but the forum should let you see some php load time.

You should find that the server load and speed are absolutely great

The slow loadtime of the HostNexus site was discussed at the time it was introduced - it should not be used as a guide as to the regular services as there is a bit of flash on almost every page.

Virt-Nex1 - you could be on Epsilon as a reseller server - although most resellers are going on the whizzier servers. Even so, I've no complaints about load time on Epsilon. If it is Espilon, I can give a couple of sites to check.

(It slows down on backups; but you can't complain about a live backup system!)

We have some space on Epsilon as a few resellers just moved to dedicated so we've been placing a few resellers there. Rob's main account is on Epsilon and then there's is Manninc's above too. But if you really want to go on Lamda, there is still lots of space there as there are no big resellers there. We cap a reseller server at 35 accounts usually and if problems arise, we solve them by moving big accounts off (as some resellers will grow big).

So no matter what the server speed, specs etc, we try to keep all servers running smoothly with a load below 1.00.

Thank you for everyone's feedback; it really is helpful. I'm conviced that if I'm on one of the "whizzier" servers as Rob suggested, I should be satisfied.

Cool

I just placed my order with nexus a few hours ago! I am switching due to lack of support and reliablity on a previous server. I was going to sign up with httpme.com but I'm just hooked on the Plesk control panel. I'm signing up with the Plesk 7 control panel install less than a week away!

Less than 24 hours away probably.

I've got a feeling that Plesk 7 is going to take off and we are very excited about the upgrade. Sent your order to accounts for setup with instructions to place you on Lamda....
