Question Considering Dedicated

I'm considering a dedicated server package, probably the Windows 800 plan.

I am a windows developer and web designer, and I'm looking for a solution that will give me the most options. I mostly provide managed solutions for my clients, but would also like to resell some of the space.

I have a few questions, in no particular order:

What interface do I have to the server? Can I connect via Terminal Services and drive it fully?

Will I be able to create users, and adjust the access levels?

Can I install the .NET framework and ASP.NET?

Can I run Windows Services that listen on a network socket (eg, I have a chat application that has a Flash front-end which connects to a back-end server)?

What database options are available, and how much do they cost? (Access/SQL Server)

Can I host multiple domains?

Can I resell space on the server?

That's pretty much it for the moment. Any assistance that you can provide would be appreciated.

Regards,
Will

Hi,

Here are some answers:
Quote:

Yes, the interface is Terminal Services. It looks eactly like Windows on a PC.

Yes, you have full access over the server.
Quote:
Can I install the .NET framework and ASP.NET?
You'd have to do it yourself, we don't officially support 3rd party software.

It is thoroughly compatible but again it's your responsibility.

Access is free and you can install it your self. For SQL, see pricing below.

Thanks for the quick response. That's all good food for thought. A couple of quick questions that I forgot earlier:

Does that include a mail server, or would that be extra?

Also, are backups included?

Hi!

The machine comes with a mail server and a backup solution would be extra. A backup to disc weekly would cost and extra $50/mo.
