Greetings,
I've been searching around for a solid and reliable CF/SQL host for a while now and just happen to come across NH. I've tried a couple others in the past but found myself rather disappointed only after spending the money. I tend to stay away from hosts that use forums for support as it's typically not a good sign but after browsing around for a few days it looks like you guys have your act together.
I spent the better part of last night searching the forums but still have a few unanswered questions so here we go...
The most important one is site structure... It's hard to ask outright so I'll have to give an example from a previous bad experience. The last CF host I used offered multiple domains under one account, however, after two months with them I started to roll out my other domains and found that no matter what I tried the link would always reflect the primary domain. In other words, if I hosted
www.123.com under my primary domain
www.abc.com the links would always show up as
www.abc.com/123.com_subfolder/page.html. Now I don't care that they operate out of a subfolder cause it's just as easy to maintain either way but I need the sites to appear independent regardless of where the users are in them. Is this a problem at NH or is there at least a workaround for it? The last host had a great service but no reasonable solution to this so I had to drop them. I won't shell out $30+/month for each site to overcome that at least until the traffic received justifies it.
Second, and a heck of a lot shorter. How are server ping times from around the country, specifically the west coast area. I'm in WI so servers in NJ are just as good as any to me but I have a ton of users out west. For me to ping the servers would be pointless so if anyone can chime in with some ping results from out west I'd appreciate it.
And last, for now... I'd like to arrange my billing to fall on a certain date every month as I like to keep things orderly, organized, in sync and easy to keep track of (the curse of being a nitpicky anal-retentive perfectionist)

. I'll gladly take a partial months service and pay for the whole month to make things easier for me down the line. Just let me know if it's doable.
By the way, the sooner I switch the better. There's nothing worse than getting nickel and dimed to death for every little thing over at GoDaddy and then getting slow server response times to boot
Thanks in advance for your help guys,
-Tim
