domain name registration

Hi all
I want to register a domain name through HostNexus and then order a hosting package. When I put in the domain name on the home page it tells me that .biz extensions are not supported. Does that mean that I can't register my domain name here?

You can, just go to hostnexusdomains.com

Without checking, I'm guessing the whois script on the front page was written before .biz were available, and hasn't been updated.

Rob is quite correct. You can create an account at NexusDomains and register a domain with pretty much any extension.

What kind of hosting package are you looking at? Some HN packages include 1 free domain. If you are looking at one of those packages, don't register the domain first but sign up for the hosting package first and then tell them what domain you want. But if you are looking at a lower end package, the way you're doing it is fine.
