Questions about multi sites and SSL

Hi.
I'm a potential customer doing some research. I think it's great that HostNexus runs a forum for the clients. Some hosts seem to avoid that in order to escape from potential criticism, but in the long run I think they lose customers that way.

Anyway. I'm running 2 websites, one more to come. I'd like to know the difference between your add-on and multiple sites options. I'm chosing between the Personal and the Business plan. As I currently dont have much traffic, nor need tons of disk space, I'd prefer the nex-Personal. But by the looks of the plans I might need the Business to be able to host the unique websites. Or is that possible with the add-on domain option too?

About shared SSL certificate.
I've seen posts here about that, but not in the plan specs.
Is it available?
Are there any additional costs related to using shared SSL?
I'm still a newbie in this area...

Thanks for any advice!

Welcome. I believe domains can be added on to an account (someone will correct me), but the only option I'm seeing on the main site is subdomains. However, if you have 2 sites at present with a 3rd on the way, the nexBusiness would be your better choice, as this would work out to be the more affordable option. You would be able to host the 2 current sites and the 3rd one when that comes.

Shared SSL is available and there is no additional cost for this.

Also check out some of hte "monthly specials". (You can buy any month) This is a good way of getting a good set of options.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the business plan looks most suitable. The monthly specials are a bit over my budget atm. Out of curiosity, is there a list of the CGI scripts that comes with the plans?

The CGI scripts I believe are ones created a while ago by HN and am not sure if they are still around. However, you should be able to install many yourself from free sources on the internet. If you need assistance, first visit the general hosting tutorials (under support up top) and if no help there post away.

All of our plans come with 40 FREE programs you can install from the control panel. We can get you a list of those if you like.
