DNS name server question

When dealing with my registrar, I am required to provide two name servers. However, plesk only generates 1 name server when setting up the mx account automatically. Do I need two? How does this work? Do I need to manually install the second one in the MX record? Also, it seems that the system creates different name servers for the same IP address when creating different accounts on the "shared" ip. This seems odd to me. I always thought that each IP could only have one name server. So, what is the best way to configure the system for both the shared IP and the exclusive IP addresses? Should the websites with an exclusive IP also have an MX for the shared IP? If so, how should the name server be labeled?

You only have one set of nameservers which you create at your registrar. You can actually create as many nameservers as you like but when you signed, we gave you instructions on setting up nameservers with your main domain. You register those at your registrar and then point all your domains to those nameservers.

Plesk creates a default dns file when you create a domain but you can largely ignore this unless you want perfect results at a site like dnsreport.com.
