Plesk backup error?

I tried to find answer to this problem searching through the forum but haven't found any - sorry if it was already answered.

I have a domain set up with one MSSQL database and while trying to use the "backup" feature of PLESK I ran into this error message:
-----------
Backup process has failed for domain 'eclectica-hosting.com'
Unable to execute ''domainmng' --turn-off --domain-name=eclectica-hosting.com':

COM Error 80040e4d( IDispatch error #3149) at Connect to MS SQL Database eclectica-hosting on host localhost.
-----------

I suppose it has to do something with MSSQL db. Any ideas what could be the problem?

And a question: I read in a thread earlier that the new PLESK has the ability to run scheduled backups. Where can I access this feature?

Best regards,
ákos

Moreover, it seems that since this backup failure something went wrong, as I cannot log onto FTP. I tried to rewrite "FTP/Microsoft FrontPage Login" and the corresponding password in PLESK, but it didn't help, the FTP keeps telling me that login failed.

Probably best to raise a trouble ticket on this one, if you've not already done so.

Thanks, I just did it.
I cannot even remove the site and create it again, during removal I get an MSSQL error again so I'm stuck a bit.

exact same problem here.

Plesk backup on my windows account failed with same message. Now I cannot access file via ftp or FrontPage.

This is a serious problem...I will go add a ticket as well.

I was told by the very polite windows support guys that this is actually a bug of PLESK - it fails at the backup of remote MSSQL servers. They alredy submitted tickets to PLESK about this problem. The guys deleted that domain for me (for me it wasn't a problem bcs I just created it that time, so didn't have too many preferences set), and I've set it up again.
Generally, you should avoid backup on those domains where you have an MS SQL db set - otherwise, if there's no MS SQL database on the domain, backup works fine.

Hope this helps

Thanks.

I guess I'll avoid that feature. Since then, I have found that the easiest way to back up your sql server database is to do it through SQL enterprise manager.

That's correct.
Though, it's a pity that bcs of this bug there's no "one click" backup for a whole domain - you have to backup your databases, ftp separately (and this way, no backup for mailboxes and other domain settings, i suppose).
