Any news on anti-virus and better stats for Windows accounts?

Hi,

I was wondering if there's any update on the anti-virus protection in Plesk and better stats and for Windows accounts.

Customers are asking about all the viruses they're getting in their mail and webalizer is pretty basic so if anyone from HN can update us on that that would be great. So far, linux accounts are getting all the good stuff

Actually, Windows has more in stats. It has Webalizer and Awstats that you choose in the "Setup" area of the domain's Plesk CP. Plus you can request Urchin for Windows now in the Urchin department of the helpdesk and I'll take care of that personally.

Windows also has our custom Spam Filter and all email runs through Mail Shield like Linux servers and that is where the Anti-Virus screening takes place. You might get the odd virus slip through but not many. If you are getting deluged with viruses, we would need to take a look at the emails.

Hi,

Thanks Laurence. Didn't know about mailshield filtering viruses as well - I'll pass that on to my clients.

I'm aware of the options for stats in Plesk, it's just that webalizer and awstats are a bit flimsy in the configuration department. We had Livestats 6 with our previous host so our clients are used to being able to drill down a bit more. Re: Urchin - If it's available for Windows now, consider it requested or do you want us to post a ticket?

Also do we have to request Urchin for all our client domains as well ?

Yep, post a ticket to the Urchin dept or email urchin@. Please don't request too many domains at once. 5 at a time would be best as it takes ages to setup.

We just posted a ticket for the first 5 domains we'd like to activate Urchin on. Let us know when they're ready.

Any news on the Urchin activation issue? We haven't had any response to our ticket.
