Frontpage - Authorization enabled?

New to all this Plesk settings. What is the effect of setting Authorization to enabled or disabled for Frontpage support?

And is it normal not to be able to publish using the URL given in the account setup email before my domain DNS gets updated?

Well if you want to use frontpage. It has to be installed and enabled on your site. If you are trying to published using FP then you not be able to do it until your domain has resolved or propagated to here. Once you can see your site at www.yourdomain.com then you can publish.

But what's the difference in setting authorization to enabled or disabled? Which do I set? I notice setting it to disabled means I cannot edit the name and password fields.

I am not sure what you want to know. If you have frontpage installed but disabled then you can't published to it and I assume the extensions will not work but I didn't test that myself so I don't know. If you have it enabled then you can publish to your site and the FP extensions are active.
