FTP To Site Preview?

I tried searching but couldn't find an exact answer. I have a client who has decided to host with me, however we are still re-designing the site. We have not changed the DNS servers to point to me, as the new web host.

I can preview the site just fine in a browser. My question is, how do I set my FTP client up to upload to that preview site? I've tried several variations of my preview URL, but none worked.

Can anyone help?

Eh...5 minutes after I posted this I figured it out. I simply put the IP address of one my servers and it worked...that's it!

Yep, you got it. With FTP you can either use a domain name or any IP on the server. The FTP client then connects to the server and then the FTP user/pass takes you to the correct place.
