Angry I hate PayPal aka PaySucks...

For some reason, on 31 Jan 2010 any subscription type items that had the "(The recipient of this subscription is Non-U.S. - Verified)" on the same line item got canceled. Total of 3 subs were turfed that way, including a MMo game and even the "Launch Special" from HN.

I lodged a ticket with Paysuck and hope to find out what happened. I'm not a happy camper with them atm.

Me too. So far no response to the PP ticket I lodged. What alerted me is when I got an email from HN's billing saying the sub was canceled from PP and today got an email from the game of the same thing. The person in HN billing gave a link to restart it, but paypal shoots a bloody error message. Might have to use another payment method...

This happens when you change credit card or bank account details. It's just the way it always works. Because you can't have subscriptions coming from a source that is no longer there. PayPal should really update their system so that subscriptions get transferred to the new billing source but like many other things I have ranted to them about for years - it will never change.

We get a feedback survey every 3 months and I always put this in the box asking "What would we do to improve PayPal". That together with the ability to edit subscriptions rather than having to cancel and make new ones every time a client upgrades/downgrades.

However, in 9 years we've never had an issue and I think they are pretty decent overall.

Actually I didn't change anything. It still has the same billing source it had since 1973. I just had 2 more subs ended with the dreaded "Non-US verified" error with no action from me.

So far I'm still waiting for a response to my ticket from them.

Also the email from the Billing dept didn't hit me right either:

It's just a notice to say that an expiry is placed on the account. We do this so we aren't permanently chasing 100 client. You can resubscribe anytime before the expiry date and it is simply lifted and set to unlimited.

Thanks for explaining that.

Finally got an answer to my ticket with PP. They said there was some upgrades and it affected some accounts to unsubscribe some merchants. They will notify the affected customers when they can resubscribe without getting an error. Classic Paypal epic failure.
