Fred?

Toons... went to your website and contact page where it sez:

"If you have any questions about your order, sizes, ordering, etc..., please feel free to e-mail us directly from this page with your inquiry."... and no e-mail info or link?

Want to get in touch with you about printing, but how do I contact you?

Sorry, all, for using this thread for this, but hey... how else to keep in touch?

Good to see all you "oldtimers"... err, youngsters, been together for 7 years? Holy WAH! Time flies when we're growing up! LOL!

Perhaps adding a contact form with some form of human check (captcha or challenge question) or even encoding the email address will help curb new spam. By encoding I'm talking about changing the code on the page to that &# 111 ; type in the page (spaces added to show code). This will allow the email address to still show on the page but make it more difficult for those pesky email address grabbers.

Cool

Hi Everyone!

I've been with HN since 2002, but haven't been active with the community. I am new to the forum, and want to increase my knowledge of hosting and Web design. Is this a good place to ask questions about SEO?

Great!

Thanks, for the reply Mike.

I am using expression web that creates predesigned java navigation links. And search engines have a hard time seeing these type of links.

My question is would a site map alleviate this problem?

My other option would be to put a text navigation bar at bottom of the page, but I understand that search engines prefer to stay at the top of the page and a text navigation at the bottom may be missed.

I am wondering if it woulld be better to have a text navigation bar just below the java navigation bar, but hidden, by making it the same color as the backgroung color. Which would not be seem by humans, but it would be seen by the crawler, and still be at the top of the page, which should add to helping the crawler see the entire web site?

I hope that makes sense.

A sitemap is always a good idea. On HostNexus I run 3 Sitemaps and have them submitted to Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo. The Sitemaps are for the main site, this forum (using vBSEO) and the blog. I used the Google one using the Python script but there are other ways to create an XML sitemap. Or you just have a list of links in an HTMP sitemap on your site.

Not sure about whether it's good as far as the search engines go, but perhaps for visits who either don't have java installed or perhaps somehow display (like some do for flash or ads). Having text links when using flash, images, java, etc. somewhere on the page is good.
