More servers added in January!

In January we added 7 more servers to the network:

WINDOWS: Graviton, Positron.
MANAGED LINUX: Styx, Boreas, Kronos, Theseus and Achilles.

We now have about 70 servers in the network including linux, bsd, windows and sql servers!

I think we're almost out of Greek Gods and Heroes for the managed server naming conventions. On the shared and reseller linux server we have completed the usable letters in the Greek alphabet (Alpha - Omega) and the new series will be based on horoscopes (Aries - Pisces which should last 18-24 months).

Our new one terabyte remote backup server is online and will go live soon!!! Watch out for the announcement of this exciting new feature at HostNexus!

You should consult the Ouja board to see what to use after the Greek Gods. LOL

Seeing as you are astronomically minded, why not go for the Moons of Jupiter ?

The moons of Jupiter are (in order by their distance from Jupiter): Metis, Adrastea, Amalthea, Thebe, Io, Europa, Ganymede (the biggest), Callisto (the second biggest), Leda (the smallest), Himalia, Lysithea, Elara, Ananke, Carme, Pasiphae, Sinope, and many newly-discovered moons that haven't been named yet.

Metis would be a good name, I reckon. She is the closest moon and she's very very fast . She orbits Jupiter in 0.294780 (Earth) days, this is faster than Jupiter rotates on its axis ! A good name for a server

I like the moons idea very much. Some are a bit unpronouncible though but we could do a "Moons of the Solar System" series. Titan (Saturn), Phobos (Mars) etc.

Who's going to list all the moons in the system?

You should know this ! (I looked up a school site)

Mars Phobos and Deimos

Jupiter Metis, Adrastea, Amalthea, Thebe, Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto , Leda (Take me to your Leda ) Himalia, Lysithea, Elara, Ananke, Carme, Pasiphae and Sinope

Saturn Pan and Atlas, Prometheus and Pandora, Epimetheus, Janus, Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Telesto and Calypso, Dione and Helene , Rhea, Titan, Hyperion, Iapetus, Phoebe

Uranus Cordelia, Ophelia, Bianca, Cressida, Desdemona, Juliet, Portia, Rosalind, Belinda and Puck, Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, Oberon, Caliban, Sycorax, Prospero, Setebos, Stephano, and Trinculo

Neptune Naiad, Thalassa, Despina and Galatea, Larissa, Proteus, Triton , Nereid

SO ... perhaps Ariel, Bianca, Callisto, Dione (or Despina) Europa,

Is that enough to be going on with ?
