August was a very crazy month at HostNexus due to the IP migration that affected many people and also the shock of losing Paysystems as our payment gateway. But I'm glad to say that we have finally secured a merchant account with WorldPay and our account is now live so we can commence billing once more.
1) BILLING
In the next few weeks our Accounts department will be contact our members who's billing period is due or overdue. For the many people that pay monthly, you will find that you are between 4 and 7 weeks overdue so the first payment on the new billing schedule will take this into account. We have to recuperate a fairly large sum of funds and Paysystems still have not released the money owed to HN so I hope you will all understand the need to recommence billing from your last due date.
WorldPay works very differently from Paysystems in that it is not as simple as sending you a link to pay directly. The link you will be sent takes you to a form that contains all your details. You need simply revise and make sure the billing details are correct and hit Continue. The next page will have a PayPal option that is disabled for those paying one time fees to catch up on billing. But you will find the new process much more user friendly and quicker.

2) IOTA and LAMDA server move
On Saturday night/Sunday morning of the 18th/19th September, we will be moving servers Iota and Lamda to FortressITX which is where the majority of our servers are located. Resellers will be individually contacted by network[@]hostnexus.com concerning their new nameserver IPs and everyone will have until the 30th of the month to complete this task.
Again, this only affects the 70 resellers on Iota and Lamda.
Downtime will be minimal - 30-40 minutes if there is any downtime at all. We have become experts in server migrations and the process will be smooth and seamless. We have also learned a great deal regarding communication during the recent IP migration so I can assure you that all resellers will be contacted individually and we will not rely on any automatic scripting.
3) URCHIN
We have installed Urchin (webstats program) on all servers. If you would like access to Urchin stats for your domain, please email urchin[@]hostnexus.com. Urchin access can be grouped together so if you have multiple domains, we can give you one login for all domains you want. If you are a reseller, we can group domains together for you under one login for your clients etc - it's quite flexible. So if you would like Urchin access please email us with requests like this:
