Hi HN Members!
Due to our data move of last weekend, we are required to renumber IPs on servers Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Eta, Zeta and Theta. If you are a reseller on one of these servers with your own nameservers, you will need to login to your registrar and update the IPs associated with yout IPs. I ask that everyone login to Plesk, go to their domain and look for your new IPs. You will see entries like this:
ns.domain.com. A 69.72.158.11
ns2.domain.com. A 69.72.158.12
The above IPs are just an example.
In the next few days, we will be checking each individual account and making sure nameserver IPs are being updated. But as you can imagine, this is an enormous task. To ease our workload, I would be extremely grateful if you could quickly email network[@]hostnexus.com after you have updated your IPs so we can tick you off the list. In the email, simply include:
1) Name (as it appears in Plesk)
2) Server name
3) Nameserver domain name
And add a line that says "Nameserver IPs updated". This would really help us and I can't stress enough the importance of doing this.
If your main domain is registered through HostNexus, we can update your nameserver IPs. In this situation, please email network[@]hostnexus.com with the above info and a line that says "Update my nameserver IPs at NexusDomains" and we will take care of it.
If your domain points to control-access##.com nameserver, we have updated the nameserver IPs already so you shouldn't need to do anything. If your registrar requires the IPs and requires you to update the IPs (this is EXTREMELY rare), the IPs are listed below. If your dns is handled by an external service you will need to update the IP the dns service points to. If your domain is on the main shared IP, the IPs are listed below.
We would like resellers to treat this IP renumbering issue as urgent as the old IPs belong to NAC and will be returned to NAC in the near future. There is much speculation as to when this will occur and rumours abound but we believe we have a month at least. However, we would like resellers to treat the issue as if the old IPs will disappear at the weekend just to be sure we are done well ahead of time. If you any questions about this IP renumbering, please email network[@]hostnexus.com.
