formmail v. 1.92

today i downloaded formmail v.1.92 and made the changes (referers and recipients) to it. then i also changed the name of the script to envio.pl

in one of the pages http://www.spaindreams.com/cas/formres2.htm
i changed the form action to envio.pl and uploaded it together with the script.

trying it out in Internet it gave me the error 500 internal server error.

thinking i had done something wrong, i then downloaded FormMail.pl from the server, changed its name to envio.pl and uploaded it with the same result: error.

any suggestions please???

Check and make sure that you chmod the file correctly and that you uploaded it as a ascii file and not as a binary. Uploading it as a binary will give the internal service error.

Question

Is this a form mail issue only? Are php message boards and other php/cgi scripts that send mail also requiring a inspection? I'm beginning to wonder if I should be scrutinizing my scripts. I thought I was in the clear since I didn't have form mail of any type installed, but I do have scripts that generate mail, like a mailing list cgi and such. I don't want to be part of the problem

It's just Formmail.

George (Spain Dreams),

It is working now (envio.pl). You did not have the permissions set correctly.
