I've been using the spam filtering on webmail for a while now, but this weekend (Sunday maybe?) I logged in to find that all my personal settings had disappeared??? My whitelist was gone, filtering rules were gone, etc.

Any idea what happened?

Your NexusWebs server filters viruses but it has it's own spam filters that you can activate from within the control panel.

Where? For some reason I can't find where to turn on the spam filters.

Woah, old thread....

As mentioned in several more recent threads, the anti-spam had to be turned off as it started causing problems, even though three servers were dedicated to handling it. A new system is being trialed (on Beta, I think?) and will be rolled out if sucessful.

The anti-virus has no user-configurable parts.

Sorry about that. I had been looking for an update on this issue and stumbled upon this thread. (Perhaps this one should have been closed to clear up the confusion.)

At any rate, I assumed that after this long period of working on it, this would have been resolved. What prompted me to look into it was a client complaining about it again. The "we're working on it" excuse has gotten very, very old.

Again, that's been discussed in the other threads. Fortunately Laurance and team are working on it and are making progress, all-be-it slower than hoped.

As for closing the thread, threads don't usually get closed as it's an admins way of saying "don't want to hear any more on the topic" which is almost never the situation on this forum - members are well behaved.

But as you suggest, I'll close this thread to let it die - this doesn't stop you tracking down one of the others and posting on the same topic there. But fingers crossed the trial will work and we'll have anti-spam back.
