I would prefer to at least have the option of a plain text version. Then I can look at the full HTML version if needed.

I am a bit late to chime in but will do so anyhow: I get HTML email just fine, I am using a Mac though (just the standard email app) I get email from that Constant Contact all the time...

I do believe I got something from Laurence (some sort of email) and I saw it just fine...

Just do what most people do now

Send a quick email with a link to the online version and a teaser about the content

Or do the fancy HTML version but have a plain text message at the top that gives a URL for a Web version if the person can't read the email.
