New HostNexus, New Plans, New Services, New EVERYTHING!

Well, nexus 3.0 is almost upon us. The new site is about 90% done. Most of the technical gremlins have been worked out and the remainder is mostly content. I could probably launch it in a few days but I'd like to see it as close to 100% done as possible (although it won't be 100% at launch). The new site consolidates NexusPortal in HostNexus so NexusPortal will be no more. I just want to see everything on the HostNexus.com domain as it's (a) less confusing and (b) just better in SEO terms. So it might take a few days/weeks to port over some of the content here on NexusPortal.

So what is there to look forward to?

1. New Plans (anyone can uprade)
2. New Affiliate Plan ($50 standard payout per sale)
3. New Support System (it's still Kayako but fully integrated and looks awesome)
4. New Blog (as if my ramblings on the forum weren't enough)
5. New Forum (well, same forum, but on hostnexus and fully integrated)
6. Mailing List Management (every server has a mailing list and now you can easily subscribe/unsubscribe on all the lists)
7. 24/7 Live Chat (it's coming back and this time not only is it 24/7 it's also 24/7 sales AND TECHNICAL support - and it's also integrated into your support area)

We'll also be posting server and network updates on the blog which you can subscribe to in your feed reader and we also pull the latest post in the status category into the index page of the support system so if there's an issue you'll know about it as soon as you go to submit a ticket. I think it's pretty cool.

So when? Could be any day but March 1st at the very latest. I'm pretty excited about seeing 3 years (yes, THREE YEARS) of work and frustration come to fruition. I've kind of been sitting back and just enjoying the ride for a while but that time is over and I'll be steering HN back to the top and taking you all with me. I'm heavily into SEO, Internet Marketing and Social Media these days and I'm going to be using all I've learned to dominate the search engines like we used to 5 years ago. The blog is going to be focused on that and I hope many of you will benefit from it and I also hope to learn from many of you SEO gurus (we have many here at HN).

I'm just so looking forward to the next few years.

By the way, any of you guys on Twitter? I always thought it was a complete waste of time but I have to admit I was wrong. If you're there please do follow me. We are going to be doing some fun stuff over on Twitter after the launch.
