Gamma reboot

Gamma is behaving strangely due to high load and we are rebooting the server and will continue to troubleshoot for a few minutes.

Okay..we are patching Apache on all boxes to address the latest exploit. Now Beta is hiccuping so we are working on that box too.

Gamma is back up, by the way. Just down for a few minutes.

Hey laurance what time was gamma having problems I got emails from clients saying they had an unauthorized disk error or something like that and they could view there sites. What caused that you think?

Yeah seems fine but I cant tell my clients it was just a glich or they imagining things I got to assure them this wont be an constant problem

We were upgrading Apache because a major exploit was uncovered and the vulnerability needed to be patched. Obviously Apache hates to be fiddled with so there were a few instances of downtime while the upgrade was taking place.

Miro posted a link on the exploit in the Support General Forum.

The servers are much better off with Apache patched. Sorry for any inconvienience. We kept downtime to a minimum, around 15-20 minutes,
