Post PHP 5 Upgrades - All Servers

As just announced on the NewsFlash MailList:
Quote:
In July I sent a notice to all clients concerning PHP's announcement to discontinue support and updates for PHP 4. You can view this message here:

http://hostnexus.com/cgi-bin/mojo/mo...list=newsflash

We will be starting these upgardes on Linux servers tomorrow afternoon US EST. No downtime is required, just an apache restart. If you experience any issues with your PHP applications after the upgrade please let us know and we will do our best to assist you. But any issues you might experience are most likely to be compatibility related in which case you'd need to contact your application authors and vendors. But this upgrade has been a long time coming so I am sure that everyone is ready for this!

We will alert clients on a per server basis before and after the upgrade so I'd like to ask everyone to take a few moments to ensure that your email addresses are listed on the correct server mail lists. I have made a few pages which allows everyone to easily subscribe/unsubscribe to any server they may have accounts on.

Linux Servers:

Windows and ColdFusion Servers:

Many thanks for your attention.
Please feel free to discuss here:

Due to quite a lot of feedback in the past 24 hours I've decided to postpone the PHP 5 upgrades until January. It appears that in spite of the 5 months window to work on compatibility issues many people are not ready and the last thing we want to do is disrupt ecommerce sites over the holiday period.

So we'll aim to do this in the last week of January which gives people some time after the holiday to work on upgrading scripts. What we'll also do is leave one or two servers with PHP 4 for a few more months and move anyone there that can't make the end of January deadline.

Dedicated server clients are not included in these PHP 5 notices. If you have a managed dedicated server with us you can request a PHP 5 upgrade at any time.
