Smile Delta server being upgraded to Plesk 2.5.1

We have received quite a few requests from people wanting FP 2002 extensions on Delta so we are upgrading this server to PSA 2.5.1 in around 6 hours or so. The server will be offline for the duration of the upgrade though it should only take a few minutes.

The scheduled upgrade will take place in the early hours of the morning Texas time. From 1am onwards.

Will we receive another notification when it's done?

Looking forward to the upgrade. Will there be any added benefits in the new version?

It's mainly a bug fix release and the main benefit is the FP 2002 extensions. I will notify everyone when the upgrade has taken place.

Bug fixes are always good. Don't really need the FP extensions myself as I only use FP to create my layout. I don't use any of the built in "features" of FP though

Nelix,

This was discussed in another thread a short while back (sorry, no link). Basically RackSpace refuse to upgrade existing Plesk 2.0 servers to 2.5, and the only reason Delta was upgraded is because HN kicked up enough of a stink because a few users wanted the extra language support.

Laurence has said that when Plesk 3.0 is released, he will "make sure" all servers are upgraded, but of course that's probably a little while off. Hopefully MySQL 4.0 will come out before then too - I've got my eyes on a couple of the planned features.

I noticed that my site was inaccessible for a short while at intervals, so I presumed it was in the process. Is it completed yet?
