New Alpha Server

I just sent this to everyone on the ALPHA server client list. I will also post in the ALPHA server forum.

MIGRATION TO NEW SERVER
=======================

Please note that we are replacing the old ALPHA server, with a brand new server. Your new server is strictly top of the line. It is a Dual Opteron 264, running Fedora Core 4, 64 bit. Lightening fast. You will see a marked improvement in speed and reliability.

Please note: This server will bne running all of the newest software releases and as such, PHP 5 is installed. Please check your PHP scripts to insure that they will run under the latest PHP version. Most will not notice any issues.

The new server is up and running and configure3d for you now. We are ready to begin moving all the accounts fromt he old to the new server. We will do this Saturday, December 16, 2006 between 01:00 and 10:00 USA eastern standard time. This is approximate. You will experience 45 to 60 minutes of downtime as your account is moved. We will do everything possible to keep this at a minimum of course. We chose a time we felt would be appropriate for most clients; however, we understand there may be some who this will effect adversely. We do apologize for this, but it is unavoidable and the end results will certainly be worth it.

Should you have any issues after the move, please be sure to open a support ticket.
