Post New Manager - Lorand Minyo

It's my great pleasure and honor to introduce to you our newest asset, Lorand R. Minyo. Lorand is our new General Manager at HostNexus European Operations. He will be in charge of the daily operations of HostNexus Europe and will be stepping in for HostNexus Global Operations.

As a bit of a background information, Lorand was and will remain onsite liaison for HostNexus Support, thus personally overseeing the activities that take place at our support center, SimpliQ Europe. He has extensive and thorough experience in the high-tech and hosting industry, he's very very well-versed in hosting technology and has more than 7 years of management history to add to his credit. I've worked with Lorand on other projects over the last few years and I'm very happy to have him onboard officially at HostNexus. You'll see him via our Sales email as well as on the technical support desk. Plus he'll also be on the forum alot and will be on Live Chat alot so drop in say hello.

Hello everyone here at HostNexus.

Laurence, thank you for the generous introduction.

I'm looking forward to meet and greet everyone at the community, as well as helping out in every way that I can.

Also, as Laurence earlier said, we'll meet quite often on the boards, live chat and our helpdesk.

Will this new nomination bring back hostnexus to the level of quality it used to be. I used to have a flawless server. All used to go smoothly. Now Plesk bugs pop up really often. Apache CMOD restrictions that were not there before prevent me from working smootly. Although the support people do great, I used to write a ticket once in a while now I do write up to 5 tickets whenever I install joomla, create DB or work a bit on the domains it hosts. I have clients that even see their emails disapearing. I long for the good old days when I could blindly rely on hostnexus server. Now t is not even of average quality but quite under to be frank. Will Laurence and Lorand bring back hostnexus to the glory days? I give myself another 2 weeks than I am gone.

HostNexus has definately been going through some serious growing pains. Neither Laurence or I expected HN to blossom so rapidly. We have taken many steps to insure that HN remains one of the best hosting companies on the planet. We have replaced our entire Windows tech team with a new, much more seasoned and knowledgable group of techs. We have also brought on board a Microsoft Certified Windows Administrator as our Chief Windows Technology Manager (Bogdan Fetita). He manages all windows support. We have also replaced several of the less experienced Linux technicians with more seasoned techs. Adrian is still in charge of all the Linux techs and is now working more in a full time basis with us. Since Lorand also works in the same office as the main group of Linux techs, he is able to get issues taken care of immediately for us, etc. It is a great marriage for us!

On the hardware and software side, we have been upgrading all servers to the latest Plesk versions, PHP and MySQL. We have also been replacing old servers with new. We are building two new backup servers (Windows and Linux) for emergency use. The datacenter is building us our own racks, so we will be on or own agg routers. No more sharing with others.

We are actively and aggressivley working through this so that HN will remain one of the best hosting companies available today!

Hello Mike!

I would have replied earlier but I got a "busy server" notice telling me I could not access this forum (!). I think that working on hardware issues in conjunction with software issues (Plesk) and overload issues all at once was a terrible mistake. I see all the efforts and I know that it might get out of hand some times. I really hope that Lorand with help it sort it out and we are back to business as usual.
