Hard Drive Failure/Replacement

6 weeks ago Neutron had drive errors that weren't fully fixed. But the drive is in a bad state so I asked the data center to swap it out and rebuild teh array. Should have been a 5 minute operation but the server is insisting on CHKDSK. It's halfway through. In hindsight I should have emailed on the list but I thought it would be a 5 minute job. Sorry about that.

Still on stage 2 of 3 unfortunately. No real idea how long this could take but 3 hours is unusually long.

I cancelled teh chkdsk as it was nowhere near complete and was approaching 4 hours. Server is back up, drives are fine and RAID is rebuilding. We'll be paying close attention to the logs for any drive errors but I'm sure all is green now. My apologies for this unexpected downtime event.

Neutron crashed and is on a CHKDSK once more.

Chkdsk was cancelled and server brought online.
