setting up email on iphone

Hi guys,
I'm having trouble setting up my e-mail accounts on my new iphone. I get an error message stating "Secure Connection Failed - The certificate of SMTP:scott@mydomain.com may not be valid". Any ideas?

Scott

I was able to set it up with no hassles and the very first time I tried. Is there a way to set the connection to not use SSL?

Don't have an iphone myself, but found this (hopefully still relevant):

Setup Email on the iPhone

Scroll down and you'll see an advanced screen with the first option being SSL and an off on setting.

Hope this helps!

I cannot get to the advanced screen until I can add the account. It won't let me add the account as I keep getting the certificate not valid error.

OK, I kept trying, and kept trying. It probably failed 8 to 10 times. Then finally I get a "Set up account without Using SSL?" prompt. I clicked "Yes", and the e-mail set up. I didn't do anything different, I just kept trying it over and over again.

Sometimes persistence pays off. Glad you got it all setup.

I was able to setup the iPhone 3G to work with the email, but I have a problem. When I try to delete a mail (swipe finger to the right and then tap the red "delete" button).

It would return the error:
Unable to Move Message
The message could not be move to the mailbox Trash.
[Grey "ok' Button]

How do I resolve that?
