A major undertaking to move HostNexus to
eight new servers at NAC was successfully completed by the
company in January 2003.
"This was a huge migration, and we're proud that the
move was accomplished very smoothly, with no loss of data,"
says company Technical Director, Laurence Flynn. "The community spirit
on our forums during this time was awesome. There was a
sense of everyone pulling together in a well co-ordinated
plan that would benefit us all."
Benefits include an upgrade to the latest Plesk control
panel, improved reliability and backups, as well as
significant cost savings immediately passed on to Reseller
clients.
The NAC data center specializes in providing network services
only, with the new HostNexus servers being provided and
serviced by Pegasus. This combination ensures that the
servers are well cared for and have abundant connections
to multiple backbones.
The move to NAC took HostNexus to the next level in service
and coincided with plans for the new corporate website that
was launched in February.
